Soot Doctor recently installed a flue liner for our oil furnace. We've lived in this house for almost 44 years. Out of all the various contractors, installers, etc. we've hired during that time, I can honestly state that Soot Doctor has been the most professional, cleanest, neatest, and helpful out of all of them. For the kind of services they offer, I would never use any other company.

Very thorough and detailed inspection and explanation of work being done. We’ve had our chimney serviced twice in our house since we moved in 7 years ago, along with our house being 35+ years old ,Soot Doctor ,during inspection removed the flu and found a huge chunk of mortar from when the chimney/ house was BUILT! This was causing slower exhaust of smoke. I will never call anyone else to service my fireplace and chimney

Soot Doctor was very thorough and professional. From the moment he arrived, you could tell he was focused on keeping your home clean while doing the cleaning. I think the cleaning and inspection were very thorough. I learned that a crack in my chimney made using my fireplace dangerous. Pictures taken of of the condition were sent to my email and were very appreciated. A job well done!

This review is late. I originally called Rick summer of '22 for an estimate on a chimney install but ended up getting everything through him. Woodstove, chimney, and prefab hearth panel. He shows up on time, calls ahead, and meticulous. The job isn't done until its right, there was no "close enough". Rolled out drop cloth even when he showed up just for an estimate, very respectful and professional. I had a lot of questions as this was our first stove and he answered every one completely and never made me feel like I was holding him up. No complaints whatsoever and highly recommend.

It's rare I take the time to leave reviews but I'm going to for Rick at Soot Doctor. He answered when I called and scheduled my appointment. The day of the appointment he called ahead of time to see if it was okay if he came early. He laid blankets down to keep the area clean and was respectful entering and leaving the house. His work was top notch and he put my stove pipe back perfect. He reviewed the condition of my chimney with me and gave me a few suggestions on my current setup. His price was competitive and well worth it. In a time where most contractors don't return calls or even show up it's nice knowing there are still some professionals like Soot Doctor.

Owner, Rick, super nice and clean. Laid out a throw rug to walk on around fire place inside. Took photos at top of chimney so I could see the inspection and even pointed something out to me that the fireplace installer did incorrectly. Reasonably priced and very professional. Will use them again.

He and his son are very professional and take the time to explain everything. They were early for the appointment because of their work ethic and not seen in many companies any more. Very Professional & Clean! Both men wore masks at all times and rolled out a drop cloth from the front door, all the way to my fireplace. They thoroughly cleaned my chimney and checked for Creosote. They took pictures of my chimney top on the roof and emailed me pictures and recommendations for further service in the coming years. Pricing was lower than many competitors. I will definitely use again.

I burn about two cords of wood each winter, it’s essential I clean out my wood-burning insert pipe annually. Top shelf service, knowledgeable and efficient… The only folks we call every year!...as subsequent follow up, I ran into someone I know in town, also is a regular with Richard as well, exact same experience… First class, efficient. It’s worth mentioning, I’ve got two new neighbors who were scratching their heads about who to call, I will provide them guidance…

Rick went the extra mile today when he was cleaning my dryer vent. He unclogged my gutters near the roof vent and also nailed down and caulked the vent on the roof to prevent further leaking into my house. He was on time and very professional. He does awesome work and I highly recommend him.
